Walking, running, and hiking – 5km and 10km

The trails at Thaba are well-maintained and marked, ensuring visitors can easily navigate the mountains. Thaba Trails caters to runners and hikers of all skill levels with options ranging from short, easy hikes to more challenging treks.

Thaba Paws Dog trail – 2km and 5km

Located in a serene and picturesque setting, our park offers two delightful walking trails designed for people and their furry companions. Enjoy a leisurely stroll or a brisk walk surrounded by forests and nature, crossing the stream over several bridges.

Key Features:

  • Scenic 5km Trail: Experience a beautiful route, following grey boards, perfect for exercise and exploration.
  • Serene 2km Trail: Take your fur baby on “Snifari” on a short 2km walk to stimulate all the senses.
  • Leash Policy: Dogs must always remain on their leashes for all visitors’ safety and enjoyment.
  • Clean Environment: Pet owners must pick up after their dogs to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the park.

Trail Rules and Etiquette

Eco Park Trails

  1. No littering
  2. No drinking alcohol
  3. No firearms
  4. No fires
  5. No smoking
  6. No children under six years
  7. No petting and feeding wildlife.
  8. No defacing of trees, rocks, or any property.
  9. No removal of plants or any other natural resources.
  10. No dogs, cats, or domestic pets in the Eco Park.
  11. No loud music or shouting along the Trails.
  12. Stay on the marked Trails and walk/ride/run in the same direction as the arrows.
  13. There is an Emergency Contact number on your band.
  14. Take water with you.
  15. Keep a safe, respectful distance from the wildlife.
  16. Always be prepared.

Thaba Paws Dog Park

  1. Dogs must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet.
  2. Owners must clean up after their pets.
  3. Respect other park-goers and their furry friends.
  4. An adult must accompany children under 16.
